Maternity Photos

Over the weekend, Airika and I went down to lovely Toutle, WA (near Mt. St. Helens) to visit our friends Lynne and Bryan. Lynne and I met when we were 5 years old back in NC. We went to the same church and the same school, and I was very excited when she and her husband moved out to WA a few years ago. Airika and I like to go down there visit whenever we can--to hang out, relax and watch the wildlife, and do a little fishing. My plan for this past weekend was to catch my first steelhead (an elusive fish that I have been trying to catch for years), and shoot our first maternity session.

Let's just say that one out of two ain't bad...

Congratulations Lynne and Bryan, we can't wait to meet the little guy!

I love the "face off" one (from shoulders down)! The last four are, I think, my favorites. Especially the one from above. You guys are great!

I lived in WA for 19 years and never heard of Toutle, it makes for great pictures though! Beautiful, if I had to pick one I would say the kiss in the field is my fav!

Wow those are amazing. I love the coloring of the first two - and the kiss in the field has so much personality to it. Great job! I don't know how you guys find these amazing fields and rusted cars as backdrops!

Thanks guys!

Bethany--It really is an amazing location. Their house is on a large piece of property there in Toutle, and we actually shot all of these photos within 100 yards of their front door! The wildlife there is amazing too. While we were shooting there were deer playing and chasing each other through the fields, there were eagles overhead, and we watched a bobcat checking things out. I even saw an elk from their front porch that morning. Just amazing...

That has got to be one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen for pictures. The way you captured both of them is awesome! I LOVE the angles and their expressions. Next time I'm pregnant you are doing a session for me! And no, you don't have a choice. :)

Knowing these two beautiful people and watching them celebrate the joy they share, is like watching the petals of a rose open as it blooms. You captured their friendship, commitment and love. What a God given talent! Thank You.
