I am really starting to like this Senior Picture thing! I shot these last night out at Mukilteo Lighthouse Park in lovely Mukilteo, Wa. I had never been out there before, but it's definitely worth another trip--very cool location!
I was going through some of my old photos today and came across a few flower pictures. I took most of these with my first digital camera, a Canon D30 (not to be confused with the newer Canon 30D). It was a 3 megapixel DSLR that I got from my good friend and fellow photographer Corey Polis (he gave me a great deal on it). Thanks Corey! It's a far cry from the 13 megapixel Canon 5D that I currently use, but as you can see the D30 still took great pictures. The most important part of getting great pictures isn't how big and fancy your camera is, but knowing how to use whatever camera you have...
...just don't expect me to give up big and fancy any time soon!

I had so much fun watching these surfers... it really made me want to try it. If I didn't know just how difficult it really is, I might have given it a shot. It's definitely one of the most difficult sports to learn, and until someone volunteers to give me free lessons, I will be content sit out on the beach and photograph people who know what they are doing.

So when I said I would post photos each night while on vacation, I guess I was counting on having internet access at the B&B we stayed at--which we did not have! Anyway, It's night 2, and our new place has internet access as you can see. Yeah!

At long last, Airika and I are going on a short little vacation! Yeah! Wea re going to Southern California, and since this is my first trip down there, I don't have any pictures yet. I plan to post pictures each night though, so expect to see more over the next few days!

Here are a few favorites from a recent wedding in Seattle. It was held at China Harbor on Lake Union, but we went to Alki beach, Post alley, and Pike Place Market for pictures. This was our first traditional Chinese wedding, and it was incredible! We can't wait to do another!
