Sara & Michael's Wedding
From the very beginning, I could tell this was going to be a special day. After getting ready at the Watertown Hotel, they came downstairs for their "first look." When Sara and Michael saw each other for the first time, it was truly a special moment. You could see the overwhelming sense of joy and excitement welling up within them--more than a few tears were shed, and I think Sara and Michael may have even cried a little too. It was one of the most beautiful and touching moments of their entire day. Although, Michael may have topped that at the reception when he surprised Sara by singing a song that he had written for her. That was definitely a smooth move--one worth remembering and repeating throughout your marriage Michael... ;)
LOVE THIS! If you go to MyJones.com you can get your own pictures printed on Jones soda bottles. Michael and Sara did this with several of their engagement photos as favors for guests--so cool!
You can see Sara and Michael's slideshow here. You can also preregister to see all of their wedding photos when they are ready here. Congratulations Sara and Michael!
Among Sara & Michael's amazing vendors were: the talented musician Geoffrey Castle * the absolute BEST DJ in Seattle, Austin Beaver with Nite Lite Entertainment * University Temple United Methodist Church * totally adorable cupcakes by Danny Fisher * beautiful arrangements and decor by Miki's Flowers * the Seattle Harbor Club.

Exciting News for Gerald Pope Photography!
In addition to running Gerald Pope Photography with my wife Airika, I have also been the staff photographer at the PRO Sports Club in Bellevue, WA for the past three years. During that time, our wedding photography business has continued to grow, and the time has finally arrived for me to come home full time! Yesterday was officially my last day, although the PRO Club has asked me to continue freelancing for the PRO Pulse Magazine. I'm definitely sad to go, but I am bursting with excitement about the opportunities that await Airika and I because of this transition!
Chances are that you haven't seen much of my work from the PRO Club (unless, of course, you are one of the 40,000+ members of the club). That being the case, here is a brief sampling of the library of images I've produced for them over the years....

Jordan & Ty's Maui Wedding
To say that Jordan and Ty's wedding was awesome would be an enormous understatement. Quite simply, it was incredible! White Orchid Weddings put together an amazing event at one of their exclusive venues on Maui. Jordan and Ty, thank you, thank you, thank you for bringing us along for your wedding! Your love for life & each other is contagious, and it was a joy to capture your wedding day.
If you love a good love story, you can view Jordan & Ty's entire wedding slideshow here.
I (Airika) loved that Jordan brought one of her invitations to the wedding for us to photograph. It was such a creative invitation (we had never seen an invitation delivered in a box) and it gives so much insight into the theme and mood of their wedding day.
One of my favorite pre-wedding moments was when Jordan and her girls (Annie & Lindsey), headed down to the beach to play and toast Jordan's big day.
Jordan's Monique Lhuillier gown was gorgeous! Simple A-line dresses are so elegant, and the scoop v-neck back on her dress was stunning on her!
I love our Photo Guestbooks (and Jordan & Ty actually got one for their engagement party last year), but if you're going to get married in Maui, you should consider "stealing" Jordan & Ty's guestboard idea! It's a truly unique way to remember the place and the people who made your wedding day so special.
Enjoy, and feel free to leave comments for the bride & groom! :)
